Meet Artist Eleanor-Jane McCartney
Originally from Belfast, now living and working on the North Coast of Ireland for over 25 years, Eleanor-Jane began experimenting with glass during her Associate Bachelor Degree in Fine and Applied Art. Eleanor-Jane specialised in Printmaking and Sculpture during her time at Art College and the processes involved in working with these media are often reflected in her glass work; together with the strong influence of coastal textures and subtle colours of the beautiful North Coast. At present her work ranges from unique dress jewellery, interior fused glass work, recycling glass to wall art for commercial premises, homes and commissions. Private commissions are held in USA, New Zealand; with her ecclesiastical commissions being held by various clerics in Ireland.

Eleanor-Jane is also a Warm Glass Tutor with years of experience designing and delivering workshops and courses, which began in 2002 as a Tutor for the then NEELB Youth Service. Her Warm Glass Workshops facilitate tailored private taster sessions (eg, birthday and family workshops) and Group Workshops, eg, in Education, Community groups, conferences, dedicated workshop settings.
