Maud McArthur Art
Maud McArthur is an artist based in Belfast. She studied Fine Art at Portsmouth University, where she began focusing on painting landscapes and started developing her painting style through working with textures.
After returning to Northern Ireland, she spent more time visiting the Antrim coast which held special childhood memories of “spending endless days at the beach, exploring every rock pool and cove, soaking in the ever changing colours of the sea and sky, walking the coastal paths and admiring the dramatic headlands that would appear from behind a sea fog like a ship moving through the Atlantic Ocean”.
Inspired by the colours, lighting and weather of the Antrim coast, Maud’s work is purely emotive with each piece being one of a kind. With each stroke of paint, Maud brings to life the raw energy and elements of the Antrim Coast. She strives to create a textually thrilling experience for the viewer, through the mesmerising movement in her brush strokes that transport you into the landscapes she brings to life.

Blue Commission
I’m loving the cool blues of this seascape and the sweeping pallet knife marks in the thick paint. This is one of a pair so keep your eyes peeled.
