A Summer Solstice Celebration: Launching Sara O’Neill’s Eadach at The Designerie

The golden glow of the summer solstice was the perfect backdrop for one of the most memorable The Designerie events to date — the official Northern Ireland launch of Eadach by Sara O’Neill, the celebrated Irish designer known for transforming folklore and fine art into wearable fashion. Guests gathered to explore her newest lines incuding : Midnight in Bloom and Children of Lir collections in person for the very first time in Northern Ireland.

From the moment guests stepped inside, they were welcomed by the gentle sound of harp music, played by a model dressed in a breathtaking Eadach gown — a vision that set the tone for an evening steeped in elegance, storytelling, and Irish design heritage. This was more than a fashion showcase; it was a rare opportunity to experience Irish designer fashion up close, to feel the luxurious fabrics, and to witness the artistry behind each print.

In the spirit of giving back, half of all ticket sales were donated to Women’s Aid, supporting the incredible work they do for women and families across our community.

The evening was made even more special thanks to The Designerie Bistro, who served beautifully crafted, refreshing drinks, and Pearl Beauty, whose expert makeup artists created radiant looks that highlighted the rich colours and intricate details of each Eadach piece. The soft, luminous makeup was a masterclass in Pearl Beauty makeup — wearable, timeless, and picture-perfect.

On the runway, the spotlight fell on the new cape/kaftan style dress, available in both the Midnight in Bloom and Children of Lir collections. This flowing, versatile silhouette captivated guests with its graceful movement and ability to transition effortlessly from daytime elegance to evening glamour.

Another star of the night was the ever-popular Queen Mebh scarf. With its striking shades of yellow — a colour known to flatter Irish skin tones — this piece drew admiration from all corners of the room. Many guests left with their own, carrying home a wearable slice of Irish myth and magic.

As the magic settled over Bushmills, the air buzzed with conversation, laughter, and the shared joy of supporting local makers. For those who missed this extraordinary night, you can still shop the full Eadach Northern Ireland collection online — including the new cape/kaftan dresses, the Midnight in Bloom and Children of Lir ranges, and the Queen Mebh scarf — on The Designerie website. You’ll also find the complete Pearl Beauty collection, so you can recreate the stunning runway looks at home.

This summer solstice reminded us why we do what we do: bringing together creativity, community, and craftsmanship in the heart of Northern Ireland.
