In August 2018 Makers House launched on the first floor of The Designerie.
It is a creative hub where designer makers collaborate to make, market, educate, support and build a vibrant space on the Causeway Coast.
The chance discovery of one of the last working linen mills in Northern Ireland led to the creation of Linen Lane. Jill Gurney has had a long career in interiors and textiles and has strong family links to linen as both her grandfathers grew flax.
Laura is a total sunset chaser, and loves every single moment of it. Taking landscape photographs was how she first fell in love with photography.
Maud is an abstract artist from Belfast but inspired by the colours, lighting and weather of the Antrim coast. Her work is purely emotive with each piece being one of a kind.
After working as a carpenter for over 30 years Pat established Bare Leaf Wood & Leather in 2022.

We are so excited to introduce Sarah, a contemporary jewellery designer specialising in precious metals and gemstones.
In 2021, a collaboration was formed with Ulster University continuing our commitment to support small businesses in the arts and creative sector.
We welcome the talent that Belfast School of Art have nurtured and have helped grow in their business journey, and the team at The Designerie and Makers House will now support them as they showcase their work on the beautiful North Coast.
