Valentine Ghost Print Silk Twill Scarf – Éadach
A quietly detailed piece, the Valentine Ghost Print scarf by Éadach draws on layers of history, story, and place.
Designed by Irish artist Sara O’Neill, Éadach centres around retelling old stories through print—bringing together folklore, memory, and fragments of the past in a way that feels thoughtful and easy to wear.
This version of the Valentine print has a softer, more faded feel, inspired by the “ghost signs” found on old buildings—traces of artwork and lettering that have worn away over time but still remain. It carries that same sense of memory, with details that feel gently aged, like something rediscovered.
The story behind the print draws on the legend of St. Valentine, weaving together elements from Dublin and Rome—old streets, hidden relics, and symbols of love in its many forms. Florals, bees, and small decorative details are layered throughout, each chosen for their meaning, from love and remembrance to friendship and quiet connection.
Printed on smooth silk twill, the scarf has a soft drape and an easy feel, whether worn simply or styled more loosely. The lighter, muted tones of the ghost print give it a calm, worn-in quality that feels both timeless and personal.
