In August 2018 Makers House launched on the first floor of The Designerie in Bushmills and if you have ever visited, you will have realised that it is a retail space with a difference.
At its conception, Makers House was intended as a place where a creative hub of like-minded makers and artists who could collaborate together to educate, support and build a strong vibrant creative sector on the Causeway Coast.
Four years later, and it has achieved the original vision and so much more.
It is not so much the space, as the people in it that make it what it has become. The residents in Makers House have created a warm and welcoming place, where their support and encouragement of each other is infectious, spilling over in a generous way to create a place of relaxed hospitality.
Each of our resident Makers are self-employed and invested in their individual business', yet their mutual respect and support for one another's creative skill is evident in their celebration of each others successes.
It is not all about business though, our residents have cultivated a team spirit which borders on being family. They genuinely care about each other and about creating something for you and your home that is unique.
With a wide variety of products, crafts and artwork showcased in Makers House there is something for everyone and you are guaranteed a warm welcome when you visit!
